This site is run by Hal Whitman. It is a portfolio for a short film. This notice describes what it collects, which is very little, and what happens to it.

//what is collected

The contact form asks for a name, an email address and a message. Those three things are sent only so that the enquiry can be answered, and nothing else on the page is recorded alongside them.

Nothing is collected from you if you simply read the site. There are no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party embeds. The site sets no cookies. Your browser will cache the pages, the stylesheet and the film, as it does for any site, and that cache stays on your own device.

//where it goes

Enquiries arrive as email and are kept in that mailbox. They are not added to a mailing list, not sold, and not shared with anyone except a collaborator directly involved in answering the enquiry.

The site is hosted by Vercel, which like any web host records requests to its servers, including IP addresses, in order to serve the pages and defend against abuse. That logging is Vercel’s, not this site’s, and is governed by their own privacy policy.

Fonts are served by Google Fonts, so loading a page makes a request to Google, which is governed by Google’s privacy policy.

//how long it is kept

Enquiries are kept while a conversation is live and for as long as the film is being programmed, then deleted. There is no database behind this site and no account to create.

//your rights

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to iv@esque.design and it will be done. You do not have to give a reason.

//changes

If the site starts doing something else, this page changes first. Last updated 2026.

This notice describes current practice in plain language. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and it should be before launch, particularly if enquiries will come from the UK or the EU.
